Exodus exists to connect first year students to the local church and to the Christian community at TCU.

The Exodus Retreat is a student organization at TCU in Fort Worth, TX. Exodus is not affiliated with any particular church. In fact, the leadership and staff of Exodus are comprised of students from various Christian churches across Fort Worth. Exodus partners with many of these churches to provide a safe and welcoming environment for first year students to explore what it looks like to pursue your faith college.

Freshmen year is not easy, and for many first year students at TCU and at campuses across the country, it is a year marked by loneliness and feeling out of place. The start of the college experience surfaces complicated questions about who we are and who we want to become. For lots of students, these questions cause confusion and lead to disconnection. We want to create a culture at TCU which pushes back against this hopelessness.

Exodus believes though the hope of Jesus Christ, there is more for every student at TCU. We believe the gospel of Jesus brings redemption for anyone who believes, and it will change the lives of first year students at TCU. We believe the local church is the foundation for authentic community, providing encouragement, connection, and belonging. We love TCU, but we know the community of believers extends beyond our campus, into our city, our country, and the world, which is why our primary goal is to provide first year students with connection to a local church.
