college is a fresh start—new friends, new challenges, and a new place to call home. it's exciting, but it can also be overwhelming. exodus is your chance to step away from campus, take a deep breath, and dive into a weekend designed just for first-year tcu students.from september 26-28, we’re heading just 90 minutes away to latham springs for a weekend packed with worship, inspiring speakers, small groups, fun games, and incredible food. You’ll hear from local pastors, connect with upperclassmen counselors who have been in your shoes, and get to know other first-year students looking for the same thing you are—real friendships and an authentic community. You’ll also have the chance to learn about local churches—places where community continues after the retreat—through breakout sessions, ask big questions about faith and college life, and, of course, have fun. Whether you’re looking for a place to belong, a chance to reset, or just a weekend filled with laughter and late-night talks, exodus is for you.we’ll leave friday afternoon and return sunday morning, and we’ve got everything covered—transportation, meals, and lodging. the cost is just $50, and scholarships are available if needed.don’t miss out! spots fill up fast, so register today. if you have any questions, feel free to reach out—we’d love to hear from you!

exodus

our mission is to connect first-year students at TCU to the gospel and community through local churches. we do this primarily through a weekend retreat at the beginning of the school year. we are completely student run, and we partner with different local churches.

exodus was founded in 2012 by a few TCU students who wanted to see students connected to local churches. just like in the book of Exodus, when God pulls His people out of Egypt into the wilderness because He has a very specific purpose for them, Exodus takes first-year students off campus to Latham Springs Retreat Center for a weekend on the Exodus Retreat so they can connect with God and begin to understand God’s purpose for them back on campus. for a short time we take away the distractions of classes and homework, fraternities and sororities, new freedom and new pressure, and we create a physical and spiritual space where students can begin or deepen a relationship with God and His Church.

our retreat staff consists of over 75 students: board, counselors, media, and support teams - each who actively serve and attend a local church. all of them volunteer their time as they walk alongside campers throughout the retreat. our counselors lead small group times for first-year students. they also continue to play a role in the campers’ lives after the retreat to ensure they feel welcomed, cared for, and loved in our churches.
